SYNOPSIS
Cerebria, home of the mind mages, faces an energy crisis. Their magic requires constant external power, which they get from natural resources. But with the emergence of the Mind Eater, a body-snatching hive mind, the mages have lost access to most of their continent. Their imperialist eastward expansion has been met with hard resistance, culminating in the Soul War, when a powerful soul mage led an army of nature against them. The forces of New Enlightenment prevailed, but with heavy consequences.
A decade later, trouble is brewing once more. The Heart Clans are furious with the destruction of their land, and the two continents are on the verge of war. Ophelia Cadence, the High General of New Enlightenment, strives to avoid conflict. But when she is kidnapped during an attack by heart mages, a new, warmongering General rises to her position.
With the disappearance of their mother and their world on the brink of another war, Ophelia's three children brave a treacherous journey to rescue her. In their travels, they discover more about the world, its magic, and themselves, while making decisions that will forever shape the future of the continents...
