Raphael teaches classes both in person and online. In-person classes are taught at the CM School of Fine Arts in Clifton Park, NY.

Classes are customized to fit the abilities, interests and goals of students. Raphael primarily teaches following skills for ages 8-20 (with exceptions):

  • Acting and Voice Acting

  • Improvisation

  • Writing: Characters and Dialogue

  • Writing: Plot Development and The Long Arc

  • Singing

  • Music Composition

Critical Skills

When teaching, Raphael's goals are not only to nurture skills relevant to acting and performing, but those which apply to all areas of life. His classes include exercises in:

  • Pattern recognition

  • Critical thinking

  • Creative problem solving

  • Healthy trust-based socialization

  • Public speaking

  • Quick-thinking while under pressure.

Especially since the covid-19 pandemic, the younger generations struggle to socialize in-person with each other. Raphael aims to bridge these gaps in communication through creative endeavors, working to build trust and cooperation in his classes.
